It combines: - **EPA Fuel Efficiency (MPG combined)**:higher MPG scores better relative to class average - **Value vs Class**:MSRP compared to segment peers; better value scores higher - **Seating & Practicality**:seating capacity relative to vehicle class - **NHTSA Safety Ratings**:overall star rating; 5★ adds points, below 3★ deducts - **Recall History**:each open recall deducts points; resolved recalls are weighted lower - **Complaint Volume**:NHTSA complaint count per 100,000 vehicles Scores range from 0–100. A score above 80 is excellent; 60–79 is good; below 60 indicates known tradeoffs.
